The notion of superiority of one race over another is therefore truly part of the history of this country. In the 50’s, there were places for the negro in the background of the car. The white persons are in front of the car. It’s unequal. By refusing to relinquish her seat on the bus sixty years ago to the present day, Rosa Parks the civil rights movement. A look back at the history of the woman who initiated the fight against racial segregation. That’s when she got picked up by the police. Since, it led to a bus boycott and manifestations. Rosa Parks later fought racial segregation with Martin Luther King. She has remained one of the leading figures in civil rights, social justice and anti-racism activism. Martin Luther King organizes and directs actions such as the boycott of Montgomery buses to defend voting rights, desegregation and the employment of ethnic minorities. He gave a famous speech to the Lincoln Memorial Washington D. C. during the March and Freedom : “I have a dream”.
