COMPARING AND CONTRASTING

Goerge is the protagonist in the story, he is nineteen years old,consider registering for night school becous he want to get an education but he  quit school at 16 because of many reasons one of the reason that he dont like the teacher always telling them what to do.Goerge deams about abetter life, agood job,anice house,agirfriend(dont want to be lonley),people respect him.

in the story George says to Mr.cattanzara that he read 100 books to be respected but in the end he know that he lies about the books becouse of that  he goes to the library and start reading.

Mr.Cattanzara aman who worked in achange booth on an IRT station living in the next block to goerge .he reads the new york times so he is intellectul of the neighborhood because they are uneducated and poor.goerge liked Mr Cattanzara becouse he give him nickels yo buy lemon ice when he was littlemand he asked diffrent question than the others when he met him.Mr.Cattanzara change goerge life to the better.

compare and contrast the two main charactar(Gorge and Mr.catt):

Gorge–

first ,he is lazy because he left school and dont do anthing constructive to change his situation,seconedly,  ashamed because he dont have ajob(he is dissatisfied with the 4 jobs he has had since school) and left school.fainley, lonley because his dad dont say anting when he lefy the school and the neighborhood  dont respect him and also dont have agirlfriend.

Mr.Cattanzara–

first,he cares about others so he want George to improve his life and get an educationand he act like afather figure,guiding in the right directionIn addition he change George life to the better .secondly,Mr.cattanzara is intelligant he reads anew yourk book.fainaly,he was kind to George that he gives him amoney to buy alimon ice when he was chiled.

George and Mr.Cattnzara both have the same characteristices :

(sensiteve, dissatisfied )

they both have the same situation, George have adream about many things(better life anice house)but to reach his goals he must first overcome his impulissive and lack of motivaion, but he left the school and dont have ajob becace he dont have the necessary motivation to do so. his family and the neighborhood are poor and uneducatedso he is uder no social pressure to better himself .In addition he dont do anything constructive to change his life.so he dissatisfied becouse he want anew house people respect him(GEORGE LIE TO mR.CATTANZARA THAT HE READA 100 books so the people respect him).

Mr.cattanzara he is aperson not active,his name main achined that mean that Mr.c ATTANZARA is passive he was like George  dont know what to do and dont do anthing to change his life .all the time was drunk so he has concerns that means that he is dissatisfied for his life so he want to help george to do not do his mistake becouse he still young.IN addition he also help himself that he read new yourl time but he coudnt change his life it is tooooo late .
