Plot summary:
Note : Since this is a popular story, there are different versions. Mother Bruges embraces four eggs. Three large lumps rise from them. According to several versions, the fourth egg is somewhat delayed, but Mother Bruges refuses to abandon it and continues to incubate it. At the end of it comes an ugly gray duckling. Some of the versions claim that at this point there is a slight quarrel between the mother and the duck ducks, when it is not clear how the ugly duckling was created.
