             The book is about some kids that are in a military school that are in a plane crashed in the ocean next to an island. They got on the island and are waiting to get rescued. One of the mean characters is Ralph and the other one is Jack. After exploring the island, the boys decided to make a fire so if some one is looking for them they can see the smoke from the fire. Once they made the fire they went back to the spot that they are sleeping and then found a conch, when the conch was blown they know it was time for a gathering and how ever hold the conch was the one who can talk. At this point they had made Ralph the leader of the group of the kids. A few days later Jack had a group of kids that would go hunting for food with him. Ralph notices that Jack’s hunting group was just playing around and not looking for food. When Ralph told him something about it Jack got mad and took his hunting group and went on the other side of the island. Little by little some of Ralph’s kids went with Jack. After time Jack realized that he couldn’t start a fire without Piggy’s glasses, so they decide to steal them. Piggy and Ralph when to the other side of the island to see of they can get the glasses back, after arriving at Jacks camp one of Jacks kids groped a big rock on Piggy and killed in with it. Since Ralph doesn’t want to join Jack, Jack and his group went out looking for him. When Ralph was running he found a place to sleep. When he woke up he found himself around smoke, Jack was trying to kill him with the smoke of the fire. Ralph keeps on running and trying to hide from Jack’s group. When he was running he fell on to the sand of the beach and saw a man in front of him that was there to rescue the kids.

Description of the main characters

Ralph- He is slim. He shares leader ship and is hopeful.

Jack- His older more savage and careless.

Piggy- He is small chunky. He is like the parent of the group.

“The thing is – fear can’t hurt you more than a dream” I pick this quote because fear is a weakness and it can’t hurt you.

I recommend this book because it shows how you can devolve into savagery if you let yourself.
