All about me

Hi! My name is Ike, and I am a new student at C.I.S.(which means Children’s International School). I have 2 brothers: Matteu (age 7) and Zacharias (3). I have a Mum and Dad, but they are divorced. I used to live in England but we moved to Nigeria.

My first day

Like I said I am a new student at C.I.S.. Before I came to class though, I had to take some tests. I’m not sure what they are actually for though. The first person I can remember who greeted me was Rayyan. Here’s what he looks like-

My first invitation

On the 2nd of June, a girl in my class named Aditri, had a party and she invited children from year 5, which included me! When I told my Mum, she was really excited, and I was to. I could tell my brother Matteu was a little jealous though. When the day came I was super excited, as this was my first ever friend party I have been invited to in Nigeria. I can’t really explain in detail what happened, but all I can say is that we had a blast.

Special school days

There are lots more special school days in C.I.S. than I expected. This term, so far, there has been 2 special school days. They are Diversity day and World Environment day. Also there has been a competition called the Swimming Gala where all teams battled for the trophy. Here’s a picture of one-

Assemblies

In key stage 2, in C.I.S., we have our assemblies once a week and the day we have it on are Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, a class from ks.2 will present their assembly. Before that though, we have to sing the Nigerian national anthem. Once those two are finished, the certificates. Here’s an example. In this picture you’ll see Ruben, a boy in my class. As you can see he is holding up a certificate.

What my classmates think of me

Samson: Ike is nice and quiet but even though he joined in term 3 he still made quite the impact in year 5.

Novie: Ike is a nice funny quiet person and I respect him.

Rayyan: Ike is a nice kind and funny person even though he is new he has still made an impact.

Jack: Ike is a very nice guy and is always able to help and be there for his friends.

Ebruvwiyor: Ike is a very helpful boy, hope we meet in year 6.

Om: Ike is a very kind boy even if he is very quiet (most of the time) and I hope we are in the same class in year 6.

Jadesola: Ike is a great friend and he is very helpful.

Temitope: You are very nice and funny.

Annisa: Ike is nice and funny.  I wish you the best in year six

What I think of my classes

Numeracy : Nice and easy!

Literacy : As easy as Numeracy!

French : A bit difficult.

T.L.I.M : Teaches me a lot about Leadership.
