Introduction
I have been in CIS for three years and each moment with Mrs.Ajimuda, Miss.Animasaun and now Mrs.Dosunmu. They have taught me so many life lessons and class lessons. I understand so much to a great extent. A special thanks go to my teachers for helping me learn through thick and thin.
CIS has watched me grow from a shy little girl who could not talk to save her life to a matured chatterbox! Thank you CIS for joining me on all my special moments which you will find on the next few pages. I will miss you CIS; you were a key part of my childhood!
My First Day
On my first day at CIS I was super shy and nervous. My teacher was really friendly so I relaxed a bit, but in my class there were about 13 boys and only two girls; me and Naajah who left me on my own. So with Naajah leaving I was super sad and confuse especially as I had had a great tester day. I was trying to look for the only girl who I remembered from my tester day: Derin. Unfortunately for me, Derin was in a different class and was not even in school! Some people must have thought really strange because I went around whimpering “Have you seen Derin?”
I spent my first WEEK by myself until a teacher found me crying at break time and took me to my class where everything was finally settled. However, once I found my ground, a third girl arrived and all my friends went crazy over Julia. I thought my class friendships were over, especially when I got into an argument with Julia about how a tomato is a fruit. Funny thing is, Julia and Naajah felt the exact same way! So we all settled in, we eventually got two more girls and two more boys.
World Primary Games
I loved being a world primary games silver medallist. The preparation the team and I put into it was amazing; it paid off we were second place! To be able to cheer for my team and be cheered by them and even new friends from all over the world was indescribable.
The thrill of being on the starting block is one that I will never forget! Strangely enough, the scariest part was not a race, it was being stuck on a rollercoaster and the theme park after the competition.
The ride was just about to go upside down when it stopped and a mechanical voice said that are ride was paused because of technical difficulties. This alarm repeated twice before saying our ride was canceled. The crew then came and unlocked us with a special key and then we had to climb on the metal edges(the ones you are not meant to touch) to get down to safety. This was another moment I shared with the team; Osa was next to me, Kayin and Toni in front and Kayo and Eloka and Kika behind.
Arguably though, hurting my leg badly throughout the period of the Games was terrible. On the bright side I was great at using crutches and I did with supportive family, friends and team.

Becoming House Captain
On the day we got our leadership letters, we were not meant to open them in school but when Kika came racing up to me that she was Deputy Head Girls, I just had to open my letter. I had completely forgotten about house captains and even deputy house captains. It was a real shock to open the letter and find that I was the House Captain of Acacia.
On the badging ceremony day I was so excited to put my badge on for the FIRST time, and the others were too. The vibe was killed instantly because none of us could put them on. We struggled but, parents were there for a reason. We have had so many fun and serious times together. We are THE SOUND!
KS2 Production
My Fair Lady
I am super excited to be a narrator in our play because going up in front of people is not my thing at all! I am also a stage hand so I get to see all the cool props. Lastly, I am in the Embassy Ball scene were I get to be an “extra”. At our first whole school practice we saw all the dances and how great they were especially when added to our acting.
What really brings out the show for me is that the movie is really old(Like from1960) yet we still rock it completely in 2018!
Prize Givings:
In year four I won highest achiever of year 4a; something I am very proud of.
In year five I won most improved which gave me a mindset to focus on improving on so that I could be highest achiever.
I am still waiting for year six prize giving to come!

GOALS:
In year seven I hope to be:
*Learning new skills
*Making new friends
*Increasing my weak spots to make them strong.
Noble Numeracy
In Numeracy, I have learnt about perfect perimeter, amazing angles. frenzy fractions, awesome area. creative coordinates, vivid volume and more. It has been so interesting yet educational.
Even though it is math, we debate, play games and write reflections. I have enjoyed it because normally math is my worst subject but now my skills are fantastic. I have loved every minute of learning and hope, with practice my skills only get better.
In cessation, in year six I have not only gone over my year five topics but added knowledge to them and new ones. I have also worked with other people with a little bit of competitive spirit.

Loveable Literacy
I was first in Mrs.Ibrahim’s Literacy group but I progressed to Mr.Fasanmoye’s.
In Mrs.Ibrahim’s group, I learnt all about poems and play scripts and punctuation. She put the LIT in Literacy. We played games and shared stories that all linked to lessons.
I was quite sad to leave her group.
However, in Mr.Fasanmoye’s group the bar was higher and I had top work faster. We always wrote a graded piece about the topic we had just finished so I could always see how much I understood the topic. This always gave me new goals that I worked to.
I loved working in group to do things, like the Sixty Second Shakespeare Challenge. We had to react Macbeth in only a minute! I also loved reading Macbeth then writing my own and small extracts. I got to experiment with old english which was good fun. In a way both groups were super fun and I loved each.
My favorite was the dispute between coffee and tea which was a poem we acted in groups.

Tremendous Topic
I adored poring over maps and hearing stories in Topic. We learnt about trade and drew maps about how people got to trading points. We imagined we lived in the ring of fire( a chain around the world where there are eruptions) and what we would do to keep safe. We mapped out the spread of Islam and Christianity.
We saw the effects of a volcano and earthquake. We learnt about civilizations that had risen yet fallen. We heard stories of deceit and trickery and of battle strategies. We learnt that although mistakes had been made twice but so had the winnings.
Learning about the types of climates we live in and identifying others had been fun. I enjoyed learning about world war two and all the mistakes and lies and tricks that had been made and pulled. We learned about poor Anne Frank and evil Adolf Hitler. We even made a project of Anne Frank’s house. Newspapers had to lie about the facts so there would be no panic.
In all, I think topic was my favorite lesson.

Stupendous Science
Science has been full of different topics, from light to a balanced diet. I have made so many new discoveries about her my body functions and the circulatory system which we drew and labeled. In the light project we wrote fun facts and did experiments with torches and discs and boxes.
Linking to Literacy and Numeracy, there were steps we had to follow and conclusions and hypothesises to write. Most of Science, I realised had to deal with how fair your experiment was. We even learnt about drug abuse and its effects. Did you know alcohol is a soothing drug?
We even made photo collages to show awareness of drug abuse. This was done in groups like most of our experiments, though we wrote findings alone. Another link to Numeracy, is that in Science having correct data is key or the whole thing has a high percentage of failing. This has taught to check and re check my facts.

Specialist Classes
I did Magical Music, Amazing African Studies, Fantastic French, Awesome Art, Lovely Library, Ingenius ICT, Super Swimming and Perfect P.E.
These lessons taught me things about other cultures and my own. We had African studies events like making information books in groups and doing a presentation. Doing a Yoruba Class presentation.
In Music I have learnt new chords and songs on the guitar including the TAB method. In french, I can now have a short conversation and ask you for directions, describe what I am wearing and doing/ going to do.
In Art I have done mix media and perfected my still life technique and can now shade like a pro. In Library, I have borrowed books and been able to write their plot and how I feel about them.
In ICT I can now code and I created a company with my group using my computer skills. In swimming my technique is much better and I am swimming faster. P.E. has taught me rules of new games and how to play them. I have also started to run more long distance races which get me breathing faster.
School Trip
The best school trip was to Bread Lounge where we made our own pizza. It was so fun and it tasted fantastic. We learnt all the ingredients and were ready to start but there were some rules. We shouldn’t touch sharp things, we should always wash our hands, we should pay attention, we should follow instructions and most importantly we should have fun! Which we did.
We got proper aprons and chef hats which was so cool. We had a small piece of table and tray for our pizza so all we needed to do was get baking!
We each got our piece of dough which we rolled and flattened then we got tomato sauce we we squeezed on before spreading. We were handed cheese and a choice of peppers and sausages. Then we cooked them!
Yum! They smelled good, while we were waiting we played charades and laughed so much. Soon it was time to get our pizza and go back to school.
