Mark had advanced to the third grade and was shy to start with a whole new group of class mates. He was also scared because at the beginning of the day, his teacher had said they would start dividing in math that year.

Mark started to get along fairly well with his classmates and started to participate with math and addition problems. His teacher asked, “Mark can you please stand up and give us the answer for 43+3?” Mark quickly got up and replied with, “46!” His teacher then gave the instructions to pair up and start the division homework with their partner.

After a couple of days of being introduced to division Mark couldn’t stop doing his math homework! He had grown to love it and liked the concepts of it. This video can further introduce division.

The next day at school, Mark was ready for any division question his teacher asked. He raised his hand to answer “420/42”. After Mark was called on he quickly said “10” and received a gold star for being the first one to answer.

Mark now goes on to helping other students in an after school program at his school! For this, he at times gets extra credit added onto his test and loves, loves, loves math!
