Julia is the Queen of Tahini. 

Visitors (from Kinnernet 2015) came to visit her castle. 

Nurit played close attention to every word she said. 

The  castle is called “Al Arz”. It means the cedar (I think). 

One of the neighbors gave them the name. Cool!

Her son, Prince Charming, otherwise known as Yusef escorted us to the castle. 

Tahina lovers from far and near arrived.

We all came to see the liquid gold. 

The first step is to import sesame seeds. They come from Ethiopia. Did you know that? Now, everyone does. 

The sesame seeds are cleaned and washed. 

And dried…

Then finally the moment we all waited for arrived. 

Yusef filled the cups. 

We drank the viscous, warm dark fluid.

We were fulfilled. 

My advice to tehini lovers from all over the world:

Do not dilute. Do not add lemon. Eat it straight from jar. It’s one of nature’s healthiest foods. And so tasty too.
