When we got to the other side of the river, Jim and I loaded Tom on our shoulders, since he was unknowing for the great blood loss and we had him laying down the ground while Tom was looking for a doctor.

When the doctor arrives Tom’s condition is quite critical. The doctor tries in every way to mend the wound but without succeeding; not having the right tools; but he did not give up and kept trying to save Tom’ life.
