Devorah and Barack

Once upon a time, there was a prophetess named Devorah, she would sit under a date tree and judge people who wanted to be judged.

One day, G-d commanded her to tell Barack that he needs to collect 10,000 people from the tribes Naphtali and Zevulun to go kill Sisera and his army.

Just before he left, he told Devorah “I won’t go unless you go” and she said “I will go, but the glory from the battle won’t be on you” but he was ok with that.

They gathered there army and went up to Mount Tabor

Heber the Kenite told Sisera that Devorah and Barack were on Mount Tabor, so he fled, first he was on a carriage then he went on foot. The day came, and Devorah told Barack “Wake up, for today is the day you kill Sisera.”

They went down and went through the whole army not letting a person live. Sisera went on in the desert, he found a Jael’s tent and she let Sisera stay the night

During the night Jale took a tent peg and hammered it through Sisera’s head. Once the morning came, Devorah and Barack showed up to Jael’s tent, and she showed them the dead body.
