Yosi fink story

Monday evening 17.2.86  tow soldiers and a psychologist were

standing outside Hadasa and Martin Fink house.

No one prepare them to the worse message thy are going to

hear in a few minutes.  That is the moment when their life will

change forever.

2. Yosi Fink and his friend Rachamim Levi Alshich, were 19

years old, they served in “Givati unit”.At February 17 1986

morning, Their unit encountered a Hizbullah ambush. During

the fight, Yossi and rahamim were kidnapped.

IDF forces arriving at the vehicle in which the two soldiers were

traveling found signs of blood indicating that the soldiers were

injured.IDF used Hannibal procedure, but failed to find them and

declared them kidnapped.

After 5 years of Red Cross-mediated negotiations, it is certain

that both soldiers are not alive. The information was provided

to families in September 1991. Families were told that they

should be seated Shiva on their sons.

In July 1996, Yossi’s and Rahamim bodies were brought to

Israel for burial. Yossi is buried in his hometown of Ra’anana

and Rahamim is buried in Rosh HaAyin. Hadassah and Martin

Fink can visit until today their son Yossi grave in Israel.
