Immersed in the Garden

To wake up in the morning

To be

Immersed in Nature’s garden

Here’s your home

No walls, unbroken gaze

Green Spring blossoms

In the garden, many dwell

Fluttering among the flowers

All are having fun

Air veils everything

Breath

All that you are

Caressing, bestowing

It’s Mother nourishing within

You see the words

A language praising life

Those thoughts are not mere marveling

A reality steeped in silence

Perceiving

I am

That is My Love

Light

Beneath my skin

Is my love

Illuminating me

Lavishly and wisely

Who could conceive of a reality

So wonderful and reveal

Light in my heart

In place of mind’s darkness

Love flows

Beauty grows

Instead of sadness, joy

A flawless gift

Light

Beneath my skin

That is my love

In Love’s light I exist

Abundance of Tears

A wonderful thing creates in me

The happiness within me

Is it possible or am I just imagining

Each day another page is written in a book

I would love to sit on

A cloud in the sky to read it

Again and again

As with white clouds, darkening

Before the rain

It too holds in it storms of joy

And outbursts of gratitude

The book is so wonderful, delightning

In laughter and pleasure

Only the bewildered sufferers

Fail to understand how I have managed to write

Such an astounding story

Concerning peace in a world of war

Regarding sanity in a crazy world

About abundance in a world of need

On light in apparent darkness

About a wonderful righteous man

In a world of crooks and greed

Sometimes it seems to me too

That the pages of my life had been written

An imaginary story somewhat dreamy

About freedom in lockup cells

A lit candle that comes to light

Hearts lost in prison

On tears dissolving thugs

On tenderness reviving hard troopers

About street gang boys and girls

Turning into portents of peace

About children of distress devoid of bread and rice

A generous person comes, forming charitable folks round him

Builds them a dining hall for nourishment with dignity

Help me friends, readers of the book

Is it just a dream

Or a dream come true in front of our very eyes

And tell me why readers’ hearts

Cry ceaselessly

Till an imaginary river turns real

And how can it be that one person alone

Illuminates all hearts

And how is it that he speaks for many years

About the same thing yet always has

Something new to say

And years of festivals and celebrations

All over the world and in all tongues

And most beautiful people awake

To the goodness of life

And in the story there is also a family and children

So loved and beloved

Friends, please help me understand

The abundance of tears

Who Is She

Who is she

In the background of all matters

In mind

Through nebulous memories

Breath

Remembers me

Pure, powerful, gentle

Bequeaths presence to all that is

Should I observe her and

She is indeed

My Mom

Nursing me wisdom and calm

Should I love her

And she is the faithful one in her giving

Should I know her in union

And she is my one and only spouse

Who is this soul

Which is not in the heavens above

Nor in the land below

All of her is within me

And she’s all I am

All my love

5 A Speck of Dust / Yaron Yemini

Translated by dahli

A speck of dust inquired

The Eternal Almighty

What are you to me

I created you He replied

How

From naught

In what manner

I mixed nothing with my essence

It became dust

Did you know what would happen

It’s just an experiment

Is it successful

Look, you question and chat

And you’re dust, it’s very successful

Now that you are dust you are no longer anything

Yet you are infinity

And you are always here returning in thousands of forms

See, the nothing from which you’re created is everything

So we are the same

Creator and creation, if only we knew we’d comprehend.

Now to the asking, Knowledge

I’ll bestow

Speck of dust

Thy essence know

Yaron Yemini

In the desert

6 The Silence/Yaron Yemini

Translated by dahli

The silence

Mounting, expanding, deepening, heightening

Wraps me

And I relish it

Silence springs from within me

On the outside, squabbles

Human beings fail to respect

The gift of life and one another

Speakers scream at weddings

Joy-blasts in the air, raising hair

Dogs bark at their owners’ horrors

Tractors breaking rocks in uproars

To them are added ATVs

And SUVs

Yet within me

Peace, tranquility,

Sweet goodness-

The splendid silence

All of it is in me

I stand in god’s magnificence
