The Amish

Their localities are spread across 22 states in the United States and the Ontario region of Canada.

The Amish origin is in Switzerland and Germany. Until the 17th century, the Amish were part of the Mennonites. Members of the community were discriminated against and persecuted by both the religious establishment and the political establishment in Switzerland and Germany, many initially migrated to Alsace and Pfalz, because there was less severe discrimination, and so most of the 18th century emigrated to the United States, and settled in the state of Pennsylvania, To other North American countries.
