Canterbury Tales

          The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 42 stories written by Geoffry                  Chaucer (1387-1400)

 He’s been the first one to use those tales and his characters to paint an                ironic portrait of English society and particularly of the Church.  The Canterbury Tales is tought to have been incomplete for the deathof his auor but his intention was to write four stories from the prospective of each perlgrim

Anyway The Canterbury Tales is now one of the most important works in English literature

Personal opinion: i found this argoument very interesting and i also think that Chaucer did a very big changefor the english Literature

The Wife of Bath

The Wife Of Bath’s Tale is the best known Geoffrey Chaucher’s Canterbury Tales.This tale talk about the woman role in the society.

Women were not identified by their social status but only for their relations with men

The Wife Of Bath is ingage of demonstrate that an equal balance of power is necessary in a functional society.

Personal Opinion:I found this story very revolutionary and for me this story literaly has the potentiality of changing the english spciety’s mind.

Adan Delving

The image of Adam Delving was created by “The masterof Methuselah”in 1174 and is one of the best stained glass piece in England.

The single tree rappresent the garden and the golden clouds above him symblises the Heaven

In the image as you can see Adam is in constant effort and this tell us how different is the life of a mortal from the life of the earthly paradise

Personal Opinion: i found this topic intersting ‘couse i like to the rappresentatioms of the paradise and heaven in different ways

Personal Opinion:this viedo is very interesting and i have a lot of fun watching it and i very appreciated the result of this camapign’s video

The tipical stereotype thats against our school is”You dont need to study if you go to the artistic school” and thgis is compleatly wrong. Of course is not hard like a scientific school but is not easy like other people think and to demonstrate this you have to make interesting and particular graphics or videos of interesting arguments that other school’s student ccan see on youtube for esample and make them thinking about the stereotypes they created.

Ed Sheeran “Eraser”

In quarantine our english teacher miss. Pavan made us listen to the Ed Sheeran song “Eraser through the SBTV website.And after that we compiled some quizzes about the song and talk about the meaning of some phrase.

This song is particularly focused on his life and his choices that take him to the succes.

Personal Opinion: I found those lessons very satisfing and very interesting.

Chaplin

In a virtual lesson we talked about yhe Chapline’s speech in th film ” The Great Dictator”(1940)featured in the lavazza commercial.

In his speech Chaplin talks about the human rights, the freedom and human progress going against the tyranny ,the dictatorship and the war and many partst of this speec were use in the Lavazza commercial in April.

Personal Opinion: Ivery liked his speech and it was very impressive

Black death

The Black Death was one of the most deadly Pandemic in human history and it countalmost 75 or 20 millins deaths.

in the lesson we spotted similar and different sides betwen the currently COVID-19 and the BlackDeath . We almost like how the society has changed due to those epidemics

Personal Opinion: I didnt very like this topic talking about epidemics make me feel strange

Magna Carta

The Magna Cartat is a royal document by King John and he promised the protection of church rights, protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment, acces to swift justice, and limitationspn feudal payments to the crown, to be implemented through a council of 25 barons.

this document is considered teh first written appearance of human rights

Personal Opinion: I liked the argument ?couse it talked about human rights and it demonstrate how some people can change the all society

Grammar

In the quarantine the class worked on reading and listening exercises fpr the preparation of the b1 or b2.
