Flag Of Iraq: Its design is three horizontal stripes: red, white and black with the words  (Allah Akbar) on the main white stripe in Kofi writing and in green symbolizing Islam. This flag, which was adopted on January 22, 2008, is quite similar in design to the flag set by Saddam Hussein in 1991, but without the stars and the replacement of the lettering in the center of the flag.

Origin of the name and other ancient names: With the Arab conquest of the region and the spread of Islam to the north, the area in the southern part of the rivers was called Arab Iraq [source required], where the Arabs settled, as opposed to the northern region where foreign peoples such as the Kurds and Assyrians still lived. The name Iraq has also been used to describe areas that are not within the borders of modern Iraq, but in central and western modern-day Iran. The name described the plains south of the Hamrin Mountains and did not include the northern and western territories of modern Iraq. [Source required]

Ancient Iraq: The area between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers was the area where the culture of the guards, Akkadians, Babylonians and Assyrians developed. These communities created the oldest writings and developed the first sciences, including mathematics, law, and philosophy. The civilizations that lived there, thanks to their technological superiority, expanded their control over the peoples of the region.

After them, Iraq underwent many political upheavals – a coup led by Rashid Ali al-Khilani, the rule of Nuri Said, a communist regime led by ‘Abd al-Karim Qassem

economy of iraq:Iraq’s economy is based on the oil sector, which has traditionally provided about 95 percent of export profits. Following the Iran-Iraq war and the damage the Iranians inflicted on the Iraqi oil industry, the Iraqi economy entered a crisis. In response the regime instituted austerity policies, borrowed from many countries and other organizations and later rejected the payment of its external debts. Iraq’s economic losses from the war with Iran were estimated at at least US $ 100 billion. After the end of the war in 1988, oil exports from Iraq increased again with the construction of pipelines to transport oil and rehabilitate facilities and pumps. A combination of low oil prices, the need to pay the debts taken during the war (about $ 3 billion a year) and the cost of rebuilding the country exacerbated the crisis, which eventually led to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
