* There are 8 parts of speech:

1. Nouns (الاسماء).

2. Pronouns (الضمائر).

3. Verbs ( الافعال).

4. Adjectives ( الصفات).

5. adverbs ( الحال).

6. propositions ( حروف الجر).

7. conjuctions(ادوات الربط).

8. interjunctions (ادوات التعجب).

Nouns:

– Name of a Person, place, thing or idea.

(أسم انسان، مكان، شيء)

Examples: Daniel, London, Table.-

Mary uses a blue pen for her notes.

Pronouns:

-A pronoun is used in place of a noun or noun phrase to avoid repetition.(نستعمل الضمير كبديل للاسم لتجنب التكرار).

-Examples: I, He, It, They…

I want to go to the party.

Verbs:

-show actions or state of being.(الفعل هو عبارة عن حدث يحدث في زمن معين)

-Examples: go, speak, eat, live.

I listen to the radio everyday.

Adjectives:

-Describe and give more information about a noun or pronoun.

(الصفة هي كلمة تصف الاسم او الضمير)

-Examples: Happy, Cold, small.

The little girl has a pink hat.

Adverbs:

-Modify a verb, an adjective or another adverb. They tell how often, where, when.(الحال يصف الفعل، الصفة، أو حال اخر)

-Examples: Slowly, very, always, too, yesterday.

Yesterday, I ate my lunch quickly.

Prepositions:

-A preposition is used before a noun, pronoun to show place, time, direction in a sentence. (حرف الجر يستعمل قبل الاسم أو الضمير لإظهار (الزمن والمكان في الجملة

-Examples: in, on, from, about.

I left my bag in the car.

Conjunctions:

-join two words or ideas together and show how they are connected.(أداة الربط تربط بين كلمتين أو فكرتين وتظهر الصلة بينهما)

-Examples: and, or, but, because.

I studied hard for the exam but failed it.
