The Man On The Moon

As the moon glistened in the night sky, two boys were by the lake lying down observing the different patterns of stars. As they were gazing at the sky they heard a splash in the lake

As they were gazing at the sky they heard a splash in the lake. The two boys stood up in shock but soon realized that it was probably a frog.

As the two curious boys went to inspect the weird occurrence, they realised that there was a weird shadow in the water. It almost looked like a person waving.

However, as the boys turned away and continued to stare at the night sky they realised the same strange figure on the moon.

They could see a lanky, tall and queer human-like figure on the moon. The two boys soon thought they were seeing things so they decided to go back home.

However, as they started heading back they felt drops of water go down their faces. It started to rain and there was no way they could go back home in this weather. Despite the rain, they spent the night in the tent that they had brought to protect themselves from insects.

That night the boys couldn’t stop thinking about the figure on the moon and how that figure could actually be a person. Gradually as their eyes became heavy, they fell asleep with the thought of the rain eventually stopping.

However, later that night, one of the boys woke up to a trickle of water running down their tent. Despite being sleep deprived his curiosity dragged him out of his tent.

Tediously he tumbled down out of his tent and stared up to inspect what was causing the waterdrops. However, it had stopped raining and he soon realised it was probably raining from the leaves. As he had a closer look up towards the sky. His eyes turned towards the moon as his memory of the figure came back to him.

As the boy’s gaze became clearer he saw the same figure on the moon, this time it was clear to him that it was a person.

He stared at the sky in awe as it shimmered in the sky.  His thoughts kept misleading him to further find out if there was actually someone on the moon.

Thinking that it was not possible for a person to survive on the moon the boy went back inside pretending that he had seen nothing.

Watching the whole thing from above the man on the moon once again became lonely and empty and wondered to himself when he could go back to earth.
