Blog 1.

2nd April 2008.

We started our expedition in Peru with Ed, Ed led us to the starting point of the expedition, I saw that all he brought with him was food and a lot of water. Ed told me that in this place we have to drink and eat a lot, a lot more than usual because if not I could easily get weak and get sick, we thought that we had to bring warm clothes to keep us warm at night. My   biggest fear was small poisonous bugs that you could easily get bitten by them without even feeling it and die a few minutes later. Ed calmed us down and said that everything will be fine and that there’s nothing to fear, and that if we stay close to him we’ll be ok.

13th April 2008.

By this point we have gotten far away from where we started. I realized that if something happens, the rescuers will come probably after a few days. I remembered that Ed always Kept walking with a knife in his hand because a lot of dangerous animals will try to kill us.

15th October 2008.

One of Ed’s crew was stung by a snake, luckily the snake wasn’t poisonous to kill him. I would like to take a doctor with us to the expedition so we’ll feel more safe and he will gave to Ed and his crew the treatment and medicines that they require.

29th November 2008.

A few months have passed since we met with Ed. I remembered in this day we were so close to Brazil and I was very exited to enter Brazil.

18th December 2008

I didn’t have time to prescribe my blog. But sometimes I had a few minutes and I spent that time to focus on my writing. This month nothing special happened.

Blog 2 

1st January 2009.  

On this date we got to Brazil. There aren’t many changes between Peru and Brazil because we hiked in the rainforest and the rainforest is characterized by a lot of humidity, Rainfall and animals.

4th February 2009.

We were so tired, we weren’t sleeping for 2 days straight. we found a very nice place to sleep, it was a big cave. I remember that Ed took a fire and looked at the ceiling. I asked him why are you doing that and he said “there are a lot of bats on the ceiling and you have to watch out for them because they can transport rabies”.

7th October 2009. 

I didn’t see my family for a year and I really missed them. But I was happy to travel in the Amazon rainforest and meet new friends.

15th November 2009. 

When we tried to cross river we came across a very venomous snake it came near us and Ed whispered to us “if we want to survive, we need to pretend that we are dead”, after we pretended that we are dead the snake crawled away after 2 minutes.

30th December 2009.

Another month has passed since my journey to the Amazon rainforest and its a great feeling. 2 days ago I had really bad headaches, but we still kept walking. Today we reached the second end point I felt like a super-hero and nothing can stop me.

Blog 3 

8th March 2010. 

we are so close to finish. I was very happy because I knew that I will see my family soon. Ed tell me about his family and he said me “When we finish our journey, I will invite you to eat with my family”. he had great family.

7th July 2010.

I don’t have much to write but I am  just proud of myself I held two years in the Amazon rainforest and it was very difficult and dangerous and i did it.

9th August 2010. 

This is the end of my great journey with Ed. I was so happy me and Ed were looking at the Atlantic Ocean and I knew that I will see my family soon.

10th August 2010.

I had a 5:00 a.m. flight to Israel. I arrived in Israel at 3:00 P.M. My family was waiting for me at home when I got back, everyone hugged me  then we ate I missed my mom’s food so much,  finally I told them how it was for me to live in Amazon for two years, I will never forget this time in my life.
