Lior Dvorin – 9b

2nd of April, 2008:

Hey! My name is Lior and tommorow me and my 2 best friends are going on an expedition to the amazing Amazon forest. Today we were preparing for the trip, I bought my self a big travel bag so I can carry a lot of equipment and other important stuff on me. I bought a sleeping bag, shoes for traveling, protected clothes so i will be a lot safer from poisonous creatures or sharp objects, a compass to navigate, a fleshlight, a lot of food and water and medicine against poisonous bites or scratches, and more. After the shopping it was very late so i went to take my last sleep at home for now.

3rd of April, 2008:

Today is the day. At morning I ate my last breakfast before leaving. I ate an omlette with a delicious salad and some bread. Then I went to the airport where I met my two friends: Daniel and Ed. We were very happy to finally go to the expedition because we waited a lot of time for it.

3rd of April, 2008:

We’ve just arrived at a small village near the Amazon forest. The trip to the small village took a lot of hours so before we could start the trip we needed rest. at the village we ate dinner and then we went to take a rest.

4th of April, 2008:

Today we finally go to the jungle. We took a bus to the Amazon and then started our journey. The first few hours we walked next to the river, we saw a lot of beautiful places and we also so a lot of different animals like monkeys, snakes and a lot of different insects. After a few more hours of walking in the jungle and seeing a lot of interesting stuff we stop to take a rest and eat some food. after the rest we kept walking until we found a beautiful place next to the river where we saw some cute monkeys and beautiful parrots. 2 hours later it was starting to get dark so we needed to find a good place to set our camp for the night, we found a nice place and took a good rest.

5th of April, 2008:

Today we woke up early and ate a sandwich each for breakfast then continued exploring the jungle. We were walking for a couple of hours until suddenly Daniel screams in pain, he told us that some kind of strange insect bit his hand. The insect was probably poisonous so I immediately dropped my bag and started searching for the medicine I bought while preparing for the trip. I gave daniel pills and covered the bite. we had to wait for a few hours because Daniel couldn’t move because of the poison in his body so we had to call an helicopter to come save Daniel. Thats how our trip ended. Because of a poisonous insect that bit one of us. It’s really sad for all of us that we could not complete the trip we were planning for a long time.

7th of April, 2008:

I’m currently back home and I’m sad that the trip ended like that. at least Daniel is now fine at the hospital and he is got all of the poison he had removed. The couple of days that we did spent in the jungle were absolutely amazing, we saw a lot of cool and beautyful trees, big birds, monkeys and a lot of very beautyful places. I would recommend everyone that I can to go on a trip to the amazon forest because its a real once in a life time adventure, but remember to be very careful when walking in the jungle because there might be deadly creatures.
