Introduction

Oliver Twist takes place in London in the 1800s . Life was so hard that even children had to work .

Oliver is a boy with no family or identity . After his mother’s death , he has to face the hard life of an orphan . Oliver gets into trouble when a gang of thieves forces him to live a criminal’s life .

The child grew up an orphan and was left to the mercy of the cruel first-hearted of the workers who run the reformatory in which he was born. After that, the authorities managing the shelter decided to transfer it to a branch workhouse, where thirty other orphans live under appalling conditions, bad treatment and disgusting lives.

The child was small bodied and yellow-faced. And the food they served was insatiable. Children often wrestled with food. One day, Mr. Bumble came to the workhouse  to take Oliver to the main shelter. Meanwhile, Oliver was locked up with two children for daring to ask for more food. They quickly washed and dressed them. Oliver went with Mr. Bumble. When he was nine years old, he was pale-faced, weak and short in stature, but his distinguishing characteristic was that he was energetic, and on one occasion he went to the cook with unprecedented boldness in the workhouse , asking for more food. However, the cook hit him on the head with a food flipping tool and was not satisfied. Rather, he complained to the administration that posted an advertisement in order for him to leave the workhouse  to start his job search journey.

So Chimney Sweep asked to take Oliver, but they refused because of the child’s health conditions that may not allow it and he will not pay much. The advertisement was read by a shopkeeper named Mr. Sauerbrey while working as a burial. Hastened the procedures for taking Oliver because he needed him, so he went to live with him, and the maid, Charlotte, upon the order of Mrs Sauerbrey, the wife of Mr Sauerbrey , provided him with the remains of dog meat.

When Oliver went to the store at the request of Mrs. Sauerbrey, he saw one of the employees, who was called Noah, and he quarreled with him and insulted his mother.

After Noah cursed Oliver’s mother, Oliver fled to London on his feet. On his journey, he met a perverted child named Jack Dawkins who worked for Fagin. He is the head of a gang that exploits children in pickpocketing in exchange for feeding and sheltering them. He knows Nancy, one of Fagin’s old students, who is not young but an adult. Bill Sykes uses it as a criminal and a murderer in big operations, and he is a Fagin partner in his gang, unless they take Oliver out with them to teach him to steal books and pickpocket napkins.

But he gets involved without doing anything, and the children run away with the spoil, and the army takes him to swear, then the judge begins to pronounce the verdict, but the owner of the library that MR Brownlow  was buying from if he was in the moment of the robbery confirming that Oliver was not the one who stole Brown Lou. With him, a happy life begins, and he lives with the maid Mrs. Bedou, Miss Rose Mile, and MR Brownlow , who are his new family. One day MR Brownlow  asked him to go to the bookstore owner and return some books and pay for others

Nancy performs a trick and pretends that he is her brother and is running away from the house and that Bill Sykes is his father to lure him to them, and this happened after he left the house. And Oliver was injured.

Then they took care of him, and Mrs. Miley and Rose took him to their summer home and there he met Monks from the hands of the gang. As events unfold, a mysterious figure of a mysterious man named Monks meets Fagin and asks him to destroy Oliver’s reputation.

Over time, Nancy feels ashamed of what she has done, so she decides to put a hypnotist to Bill Sykes and go secretly to meet Rose Mile and Mr Brownlow to tell them that Monks and Fagin want to put their hands under Oliver, but the fate is that Fagin sent a spy behind Nancy to doubt her behavior, but he wanted to be unfamiliar, so he went to the bar and by chance. He met Charlotte and Noah who were working for the shopkeeper and his wife, and this is after they ran away with the money and gold they stole

He asked Noah to spy on her and told him on his return everything, and when Bill Sykes heard from Fagin about the betrayal, he killed her and fled in fear of the police. When Brownlow heard the news of Nancy’s death, he went to the police to tell them everything. At that time he was afraid, so he and the children fled to the hideout with Oliver, but Bill Sykes decided to reach out to them to take the remainder of his gang’s stolen account to flee to France

However, the police track him down and reach the gang’s hideout and Bill hangs himself and executes Fagin. Brownlow describes his accounts with Monks, as he discovered that Oliver is his brother from his father only. His reputation was destroyed so that he would not obtain the inheritance according to the father’s will that does not give the right to inheritance to the corrupt children and that his mother was She wears a ring and a lamb with her name written on it, which is a gender, but the old nurse Sally stole her from Monks’ orders so that no one gets to the truth of the matter.

Then Monks was forced to waive Oliver’s right, otherwise he would notify the police, so Monks would be forced to do so and go to America with his share of the inheritance.

Oliver discovers that Rose Mile is his aunt, the sister of his mother, who died. And this is the end .

A letter to the main character 

At the outset, I want to tell you that you are a strong and courageous person. You were born in unusually difficult circumstances. Your mother was born and died, and despite all the circumstances and problems that you were exposed to in your life, you overcame them and prove your courage at every stage. I wish you a life full of happiness and success and to remain strong always.

My opinion 

This story is one of the most beautiful and wonderful stories I have read. I was very enjoying reading it .
