Theme the story :
In summary, then: Dick Whittington is a poor boy whose mother and father have both died. He lives in a poor parish and has nothing to eat and no work, so stays alive by eating whatever scraps he can find or beg for. He has heard exciting stories about a glorious city called London, whose streets, the stories say, are paved with gold. So one day, when a wagon comes through the village on its way to London, Dick befriends the wagoner and travels with him to London.
When he arrives in London, however, Dick Whittington is very disappointed to discover that the streets are not paved with gold, but with dirt. There is no work, and no food. Tired and starving, he sits outside the home of a wealthy merchant named Mr Fitzwarren, but the cook tries to shoo him away. Luckily, Fitzwarren returns home for dinner and sees the boy and takes pity on him when Dick explains how he has tried to find work but hasn’t eaten for three days. Fitzwarren takes Dick into his home, feeds him, and gives him employment as the cook’s assistant.

The plot :
Dick was a poor boy who came to London expecting to find the streets “paved with gold” Bullied by the cook, and plagued by the mice and rats that infested his attic, the poor lad was thoroughly miserable.
Hoping to deal at least with the latter of his problems, he bought himself a cat, which soon rid his room of the troublesome furry pests.

An event you liked :
The event that I loved in the story is when Dyke woke up and found his cat
in front of him was skinny, fed milk and was eating mice in Dick room,
and this cat became a reason for Dick to be rich when the king bought him
from him to eat the mice in the palace.

Another ending:
After Dyke arrived in London, he found that its streets were not full of
gold and people were very poor, and he looked for work in order to be able
to live with all these conditions, but he did not find work because he
needed to learn to read and write, and after days of not eating and
drinking, he lived in the streets because of illness Freezing cold and
lack of food, he did not find help from anyone, and after a few periods he
died, and no one knew about him
