plot:

August Pullman was born with a severely deformed face. He didnt  learn in school or in any other educational setting until fifth grade because of all the surgeries that he had to undergo.  At age 10, his parents decided that it was time for him to go to school.  He was admitted to the fifth grade at Beecher Middle School.  There were children in the school who didnt treat him well, especially Julian Olbens, who bullied him . On the other hand, he had friends, like  Jack Will and Summer Dawson.

Later in the book Auggie hears Jack talking bad things about him, and quarrels with him. After a while Jack realizes his mistake and they become good friends.

Characters

August Pullman:

The book’s protagonist, a smart boy, sensitive and kind-hearted, enters middle school. He wants to be normal but his face is distorted and arouses fear in the children.

He wants to be like all his classmates, but can he convince  them he is just like them despite his appearance!?

Olivia loves and cares her brother and sometimes even suffers. Likeher brother, she begins her studies in high school and she has to reintegrate into society and find her place in it.

The character that I least liked while i was reading the book  was Julian. He is a mean spoiled brat who does everything

he can to make life miserable for Auggie.

I recommend this book because this book teaches children that even if a person is different he is still a person and we need to remember it and treat that persom the same as we wolud like him/her to treat us.
