Book report

Name of the book: What was the Bombing of Hiroshima

Author: Jess Brallier

Genre: True historic event

I wanted to show on the cover what an atomic bomb can cause

The book is about the true event of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

After World War II was over in Europe the fighting between the USA and Japan continued.

  1. Robert Oppenheimer was in charge of creating and heading the laboratory where the atomic bomb would be assembled and tested.

The president of the USA, Harry Truman decided to use the atomic bomb and on August 6, 1945, the first atomic bomb ever used in war exploded on Hiroshima.

The main character is J. Robert Oppenheimer.

He was born in 1904 and he was a professor of physics at the University of California, Berkley.

He was in charge of creating and heading the laboratory where the atomic bomb would be assembled and tested

2

One of the secondary character is Harry S. Truman, the president of the USA.

He grew up poor on farm in Missouri.

He made the decision to use the atomic bomb in the war with Japan.

Truman always believed that dropping the bomb was the right decision.

The character that I liked the least is Harry S. Truman because he decided to use the atomic bomb. The atomic bomb destroyed a lot of Hiroshima and many people were killed

Recommendation

I recommend to read the book because you can learn a lot about the atomic bomb and the war between the USA  and Japan
