The character we are admire:

We admire the character Ruth for several reasons:

The first reason is that when Naomi told Orpha and Ruth to leave because she had nothing to give them, Orpha really did it and came back to her family, but Ruth refused to do it, she stayed with Naomi to be with her although she knew that she had nothing to give her.

Ruth sticks with Naomi even when she could choose to go to her family, she chose to stick with Namoi because Naomi had no one.

The second reason is that Ruth stayed with Naomi, the mother of her deceased husband. It’s not easy to stay in that place because this place reminds her of it, and if she had left she could have started a new life (it’s true that she will have times when she will remember her dead husband but obviously much less).

The third reason is that Ruth went to Boaz and asked him to marry her, she was so brave, not everyone could do that!

not everyone would have the courage to ask their loved one to marry them.

Ruth is a good friend, a good family, she is powerful and brave.

Not everyone would act like her.

I think that everyone would want someone that will be with them no matter what, a person who would stick with them in the good times and also in the bad times.

And that is why we admire and respect her.

What accepting the Torah means us:

We value accepting the Torah. We value that we are the chosen country, Hashem has chosen us.

It’s happiness and joy for us.

Our story is very special, accepting the Torah at Mount Sinai.

We are happy that it happened to us, we feel like the Torah keeps and holds us, we feel that no matter what, no matter where, Hashem is watching us and protecting us!

We believe that Hashem is with us at every moment and in every time.

We are excited for Shavuot because it’s the holiday to celebrate accepting the Torah.
