Mini project Shavuot

The story of Shavuot started when it was hunger in Israel. One family, Elimelech, Neomi, Machlon and Chilion that lived there moved to Moav to escape the hunger. In a short time Elimelech died and Machlon and Chilion got married to Ruth and Orpa after ten years Machlon and Chilion also died.

Naomi’s main reasoning is that she doesn’t have sons who can marry her Widowed Girls. And there is no way that in her age she will give birth a son and even if she would, he won’t be old enough in time to marry them and they won’t have any offspring.

Arter Machlon and Chilion died, Neomi had only Ruth and Orpa. She heard that the hunger was ending and wanted to go back to Israel. Ruth and Orpa took Naomi all the way to Israel and she urges them to return to Moav. Orpa becomes convinced and returns to Moab. But Ruth insists on sticking to Naomi by saying, “Your people, my people and your God, my God.

Ruth and Naomi arrived to Israel and nobody knew them. They didn’t have money or property. Naomi sent Ruth to pick wheat from the field. the owner of the field was Boaz. Boaz was Naomi’s relative. He was generous whan he found out who she was and give her alot of wheat. Naomi talls Ruth to go to Boaz at night and ask him to marry her. Buaz agrees and they get marry. Ovad their son was king Divid grandfather.

The character we admire is Ruth because of her loyalty to Naomi and and we think that the things she did where amazing, brave and inspiring.

We think that getting the Torah is officially being a nation. We think that It’s the most incredible thing we have ,and we shoud keep its’ rules.
