Ruth’s story

There is hunger in the country( beth lehem),so Naomi and her family go to Moav.

In Moav elimelech died,but Naomi and her sons still stay in Moav.

Naomi’s sons marry to moavite women one Orpha and the other Ruth.

After 10 years the two sons of Naomi died.

Naomi and her two daughters in law go to bethlehem.

On the way Naomi try to convince Orpha and Ruth to stay in Moav beacuse she has nothing to give them animore, and in Moav maybe they will find a new husband.

Orpha is convinced and return to Moav,but Ruth insist on staying with Naomi.

when they come to beth lehem ,the people there start talking about Namoi,and how she had everything and now she return with nothing except from Ruth

Ruth went to look for wheat,so that she and Naomi could have somthing to eat.

But then,when Naomi look for wheat,she met Boaz( he is from Elimelech’s family).

Boaz saw Ruth and ask her who is she?,Ruth told him who she was, and after that he told her she could stay and gather from his field,so she wouldn’t be ashamed.

He said to his employees not to keep her away or somthing like that,and she could drink from their water any time she want.

Ruth ask Boaz why he is so kind to her ,after all she is not jewish ,Boaz anwer to her that he appreciate it that she left everything for Naomi.

Ruth return to her home and brings the wheat to Naomi,and told her about Boaz,Naomi say that Boaz could redeem the Elimelech family by marrying to Ruth

Naomi has an idea, she offers Ruth to go to Boaz and ask him to marry her.

and Ruth does so, and Boaz agrees.

they get married and they have a son.

their son is called Oved

(and he is the grandfather of King David)

Which character do you admire and why?

we admire Ruth because she is so powerfol and she follow after Naomi no metter what,even thought she know Naomi hed nothing to give her

What does accepting the Torah (קבלת תורה) mean to you?

accepting the Torah means to as that i am jewish , and there are those who protect me
