Travel Quotes

Hello,my name is Yana and I love travelling. My favourite destination which I have visited is Néa Péramos in Greece. I love this place because it is very calm and beautiful as well as the beaches and the resort itself. The country I want to visit is Italy because it has got a great history and amazing culture. My favourite quote is “Travel not to find yourself,but to remember who you are”. I agree with this quote because going through the difficult moments of a journey really shows who you are. The places I want to visit again are many,but some of them are Gökçeada island in Turkey,Thasos island in Creece and village of Leshten in Bulgaria. And finally why do I love travelling? I love travelling because when I travel I meet people around the World,see breathtaking views and get to know new cultures.

Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas, USA, where she grew up. Her father’s name is Ricardo Gomez and her mother is former actress Amanda “Mandy” Cornet. Gomez is named after the singer Selena, who died 3 years after the birth of Gomez. Selena’s father is of Mexican descent, and her adopted mother has Italian roots. The singer’s parents divorced when she was only five years old and she stayed with her mother. Gomez has two sisters who are her non-biological relatives. Gomez was born when her mother was 16 years old. Her family had financial problems during her childhood. Together with her mother they fight for their livelihood. Her first appearance was at Barney & Friends in 2000. In 2007, Gomez became famous after her role in the American series Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney Channel. Until the end of the series in 2012, he played the role of Alex Rousseau. She formed her own band, Selena Gomez & The Scene, after recording a contract with Hollywood Records in 2008. They released her first album, Kiss & Tell (2009) and A Year Without Rain (2010) and When the Sun Goes Down (2011).

Selena recently joined other celebrities in strutting her stuff down the runway in Beverly Hills in aid of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where over $1 million dollars was raised for the cause.She joined fellow Disney Channel superstar Joe Jonas in launching the second closed circuit media centre, “The Voice” in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on behalf of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. It serves as a creative outlet for sick and injured children, where they can try their hand at TV, radio and new media.As well as all of this, Selena has helped a huge number of smaller charities such as Borden Milk and Island Dogs which helps save Puerto Rican dogs, State Farm Insurance which helps promote safe driving.It’s safe to say, for a little lady Selena Gomez is packing a huge punch in the philanthropic world and is fast becoming an international role model for kids everywhere.Not only does she visit sick children in the hospital, she’s also campaigned with organizations about West and Central Africa’s serious nutrition crisis, fighting to raise money for malnourished children.

I chose to write about Selena Gomez because she is a unique and beautiful singer and also helps many charities for sick and poor children. I admire her because she is so young and has achieved so many things.
