Riley the raindrop goes on a fieldtrip

Riley is super excited about school today.

As soon as he gets there his teacher announces they’re going on a field trip to the Water Cycle.

The first stop Riley’s class made was groundwater. They were pulled by gravity into the ground and filtered into the soil.

Next, they filtered from groundwater into a lake. They got to swim and play with their friends before it was time to evaporate up into the clouds because of the heat energy from the sun shining down on them.

The clouds were soft and fluffy and really fun to bounce on, but their teacher Mrs. Rain told them it was time to condense and fall as snow onto a glacier.

Being on the glacier and sliding around was really fun, but reallllly cold! He was almost glad that it was time to melt as water, another form of precipitation, and flow back down to school.
