Watson the Water Molecule: A Water Cycle Story

Hi, my name is Watson the Water Molecule, and I’m going to tell you about my adventures as a water molecule!

As you know water molecules can start off anywhere. I got to start out in the ocean! I stayed there for about 8 days.

 Then I evaporated into a cloud and I met another water molecule named Martha! Martha told me all about condensation and how it works. After a day of talking to Martha up in the clouds, I started condensing with other water molecules and I became condensed with so many other water molecules!

Eventually, I fell on the soil and was very confused because I have never been here before. When I was there I found other water molecules, one of them named Melvin. Melvin told me all about what happens in the soil! Then heat energy got added to me and my water molecule friends and we started to evaporate again into the clouds!

I saw Martha again and I made my way over to her. I talked to her about Melvin and the soil. Then we got bunched together and the gravity started to pull us down. We became precipitation and fell into the soil! Shortly after that, the soil became saturated so my friends and I got pushed into a river!

Then a big animal came by and started drinking with me and my new friends! We sat in there for a little while and then we came out the other end. (If you know what I mean) We got decomposed into the soil again! I lost Martha and Melvin. I was very sad.

Then I started to evaporate into the clouds and had hopes of seeing Martha or Melvin again. I didn’t see any of them but I did meet a girl named Maria, she was very pretty. I talked to her and then it started to get really cold. Maria and I started to fall down into a glacier.

Then it started to get warmer and we filtered into the ground. I found Maria and she said she started out here in the groundwater. I told her about the ocean where I started. Then while I was talking to Maria we all started to get filtered into the river. We were floating in the river for a while until we flowed out into the great big ocean. Back to where it all started. I stayed there with Maria for about a couple of days. Eventually, I got separated from Maria because I evaporated into the clouds.

That’s where the story ends, I hope to see Maria, Martha, and Melvin again. I hope you all enjoyed my story about my adventure about the water cycle.
