It was a nice sunny day. I was at my grandma’s house with my brothers. We were riding our bikes and I was on a mission. I’d been on a mission for so long that I wanted to scream. That mission was learning to ride my bike.

It was the day. The day I would zoom off on my bike. I was slowly learning to ride my bike, but didn’t think I would master it any time soon. My grandma was helping by holding onto my seat so I didn’t fall. She did this because no matter how hard I tried not to fall, I kept wobbling and then falling when she let go. I wanted to give up but Grandma to me not to, so I didn’t.

I kept trying until something happened, she let go and I actually went… for about 3 seconds. I was so pumped so I decided to try again but, only this time I would do it. So I did and when my grandma let go I fell right away and was back to square one.

I was so frustrated my head could explode. I decided one last chance and if I don’t get it I’m done, so I hopped on the bike and my grandma wouldn’t let go.
“Let go,” I insisted.
“Okay then,” Grandma replied.
She let go and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was riding my bike.
That tiny moment when I zoomed off on my bike I knew I couldn’t have done it without my grandma and everyone else in my family. After about a minute of riding I stopped, got off, and gave my grandma a colossal hug. I’m so glad I took time to learn. Riding my bike around is so much better than walking places. Now I enjoy riding my bike around with my family, and it’s very joyous.
