What is a refugee
the term refugee applies to any person who, owing to a well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside his or her country of nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear.
The causes of refugees
Children, women and men flee violence, war, hunger, extreme poverty, or because of their gender or sexual orientation, or to escape the effects of climate change or the aftermath of a natural disaster.
The consequences of refugee.
Refugees increase consumption and can thus stimulate an expansion of the host economy’s productive capacity, as measured by GDP.
Life in the Camp
Life is never easy growing up in a refugee camp. It is a life of poverty, limited access to education, lack of access to sporting or recreational facilities and few opportunities. Hopelessness and despair abound. This is a reality that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have known as their childhood for the past 60 years.
