The Stock Market Crash of 1929 also known as Black Tuesday occurred on October 29 1929. I was around the square at the time chaos broke out people were cussing and yelling blaspheme at each other and to the sky. There was so much chaos that is was mind blowing there were people starting to riot and fighting with the stores and banks around them. I was clueless at first as people would rush out the stock market building in fury and rage. people would walk past with looks of agony and looks of despair as their life are forever ruined forever. the stock market had over 16.4 million shares dropped and 30 billion dollars lost. The city was fixing to break out in a riot as the stock market came crashing down. The next day the town was still in turmoil as the stark market was gone and prices were rising in the states and unemployment was steady going up.People were still fighting and arguing over little things as the people of the city act as hell has fallen upon them.

I woke up this morning feeling uneasy in my home. My wife was down stairs cooking breakfast for me her and the kids. We ate and got dressed to go into the city as we were going in we seen groups of people that looked like they were fussing. We walked up to them and asked what was going on and one of the angry men yelled the banks have closed. My eyes grew wider as more and more people started gathering around us and they were yelling and protesting. what were we gonna do for money now all of our family’s money was in the bank. We are technically broke… Denial is setting in as i walk away from my wife and kids as they move to a safer place. My mind is running wild as i think of all the thinks that could go wrong as my family and i are about to loose our home and land and everything we own. The banks loaned money out so much they couldn’t get it back in the end that they went bankrupt.

I woke up to the wind howling and as i moved to get off my bed the dust went rushing to the floor.I had to immediately put a mask on because of all the dust in the air. My two sisters have already caught dust pneumonia and they are not doing so well.I wish they would get better but the doc doesn’t think they are going to make it. Its hard for me to see my mother cry and curse to the sky as she try’s and cleans the house. Its all i can do to go outside and help my father with the little cattle we have left from the drought and the barren land. The cattle are so skinny that we barely get any meat off of them. We have to survive on what little produce we grow from the wasteland we live in. the next day was the worst in history a large black cloud came rolling in. Everybody thought it was a storm cloud but it just kept getting lower and lower to the ground till finally it started to swallow land and homes in its wake. they were called black blizzards and u were lucky if u survived one.

We got thrown out into the streets me and my sister. we made a living as two well known lawyers in New York City.

We were doing well until the stock market crashed and the banks shut down. We lived in a pent house and now we are resulting to live on the streets and sell our tailored suits to random strangers. We would take what money we would get and go buy food and eat what we could. The money eventually ran out and we were stuck with nothing so we had to move and we moved to a hooverville. The hoovervilles were nothing but old pallets and card board boxes staked on to of each other. We found us enough wood and cardboard  that we made us a little hut that we could stay in so we wouldn’t have to sleep on the streets. In the hoovervilles people would find scraps of food and dig in trash cans for food. They would also have people do work for cheap i would work for a dollar a day just so my sister would have some money to spare if she needed it.
