Jupiter
Did you know that Jupiter is actually made of gas? It is the biggest planet in the solar system, yet it does not have a solid surface. The surface is made of hydrogen, helium, methane, and ammonia. The mass of Jupiter is two and a half times the mass of all of the other planets combined.

Jupiter is the 5th planet from the Sun. Astronomers of ancient times discovered Jupiter. It is named after the sky god Jupiter. It is about 483 million miles from the Sun. Its diameter is 88,700 miles. It is the 3rd brightest object in the night sky, after Earth’s moon and Venus. Jupiter has a Great Red Spot, which is a storm that has existed since the 1700s.
