Jill Bolte Taylor is neuroanatomist and a writer.
Her main specialty is understanding how our brain creates our perception of reality.
This topic intersted her because her brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

At the age of 37 she experienced a severe stroke.
She lost most of her basic abilities like: walking, talking, reading and ect.
It took her 8 years to regain physical and emotional abilities.

At 2006 she published her first book- My Stroke of Insight: A Brain Scientist’s Personal Journey.
At 2008 Jill shared about her experience with stroke at a TED Conference, which was the first TED talk to ever go viral.

Within six weeks of that TED talk, Jill was chosen as one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and her book “My Stroke of Insigh”t became a New York Times bestseller and remained on the list for 63 weeks.
