Many years ago in Bethlehem there was a man named Elimelech and his wife named Naomi and they had two sons, Macholn and Chilyon.

And they went to Moab from Bethlehem.

The boys assimilated and married non-Jewish women and the names of women were Ruth and Orpah.

After a while Elimelech and his sons died.

Naomi Ruth and Orpah returned to Bethlehem.
Naomi told Ruth and Orpah to return to Moab to their father’s house so they could remarry.
Orpah agreed to return to Moab and Ruth insisted on staying with Naomi

After a few months the days of harvest came.
Naomi sent Ruth to gather wheat, Ruth came to Boaz’s field and met him there.

Boaz was a Jew and a wealthy man and also a relative of Naomi

Boaz makes sure that Naomi and Ruth have enough wheat until the end of the harvest period.
Boaz and Ruth like each other and decide to marry each other.
So Boaz buys them land to live in.

Finally a boy named Yishai was born to Boaz and Ruth and it finally turns out that he is the father of King David of Israel!
