Jobs are hard to come by now. The unemployment rate is sky high, no one has jobs. The men who have jobs barely work as it is. The factories can not pay for the men to work for them. I past the factory where I use to work at, there was a big sign that said they can not take any more workers. I don’t know where my next job is going to come from.
If things doesn’t get better my family and I are leaving to find a job. For my wife, she has to do whatever she can to get money. She has taken on several different jobs, without here we wouldn’t have much of an income. The car had to go, we could not make the payments on it. Things aren’t looking any better, times are tough. If things don’t get any better we will lose our house as well.

The Black Blizzards have struck again. The farm equipment and cars are covered in dirt. The walls of dust come and cover everything. The wife can not keep the house clean and I cant grow any crops. The soil is soft is like baby powder, the wind just sweeps by and picks it up and creates a wall of dust. There is nothing we can do to grow anything. There is no grass for the cattle and there is no crops for our income. We can sale our cattle to the government for a little bit of cash but we have worked hard to build that herd.
The president has came up with an idea of plowing in a different pattern so the ground will hold more water. He also suggested that we plant a different crop each year so the conditions will not get even worse. However, if we don’t get any rain then this is just going to get worse.

FDR comes on the radio every Sunday night at six p.m. The president comes and talks to us and explains how they are trying to fix the problems of the nation. This shows us how much he cares for us. The president comes on the radio and carries on a conversation. Franklin Roosevelt is a caring president, after dinner every Sunday night our family gathers around the radio to hear his message.
FDR knows how the struggle feels. He knows what we are going through and he truly cares. Franklin’s Fireside Chat’s has helped my family out big time through this crisis.

Bank failures has taken millions of people’s money. I had 250 dollars in the bank that I completely lost. I worked hard for that money and now I have lost every bit of it. Millions of people have lost the same amount and more. People kept taking money out of the banks until there was no money left. The banks had to use every bit of money they had to keep loaning it out.
FDR made a suggestion for every person in the United States to put their money in a bank. One day out of the year every one in the United States don’t need to not take money out of the bank. Did every one do that? No of course not but if half of the Americans did this then this would help the banks tremendously. FDR is trying to help us come out of this crisis. He is working very hard to bring us out of the Banks failing and everything else.
