A long time ago, there was a family from Moav.

In the family, there was a father- Avimelech and there was a

mother- Naomi.

They have two sons, named Machlon and Kilion.

The sons were married to two lovely girls.

One named Orpa and one named Ruth.

Avimelech, Machlon and Kilion walk away from Hashem way

and because of that

Hashem left them and they received a punishment and pass

away.

Now Naomi, Ruth and Orpa are alone and sad.

So  Orpa go away and Ruth stay with Naomi, although Naomi said it is okay to leave her alone.

Naomi and Ruth return to Israel, and now they are poor and hungry.

Naomi tells Ruth to go to the field to collect wheat.

It was the harvest season and there’s a Mizva that every Wheat who falls, you cannot take back and you need to leave her there to the poor people.

Ruth goes to the field and starts to collect the wheat.

The owner of the field, Boaz, sees her and ask his workers who she is.

His workers tell Boaz all about Ruth and he starts to like her.

He goes to Ruth and ask her to stay in the field and collect the

wheat in his field and not in others fields.

Ruth agrees and goes back to Naomi.

Naomi hears that and tells Ruth to go back tomorrow in her

shabat clothes to Boaz and ask him to marry her.

Boaz says he should ask first his uncle, because Ruth was

married to Avimelech and his uncle is supposed to marry her

because Avimelech pass away.

Boaz ask his uncle and his uncle agrees.

Boaz and Ruth get married, and their sons grandson is the

father of David hamelech.
