Up until a few hundred years ago, every time we looked up into the night sky, we saw millions of stars. Abraham did it. Shakespeare did it. But it doesn’t happen any more. Do you know why?
The answer is light pollution. Light is everywhere, even at night. The world is illuminated. And although the stars still come out at night, the background light prevents us from seeing them.
Jeff Pulver has become a stargazer. To do that, he goes to the Turks and Caicos, Caribbean islands that are so dark at night that the stars do come out. Millions of them.
Now he wants to share this life-changing experience with forty people. People who want to see the night sky as it was seen thousands of years ago. To see the light of the stars travelling through time.
So join Jeff at Pulver SSF on August 4-7th, 2016 at the Turks and Caicos. Here’s where the excitement is all happening.
Information at the meeting is available here. See you soon!
