A trip to Masada and Nahal Ein Bokek

Masada

We went to Masada at two in the morning for to see the sunrise. The trip organized by “Mekom Belav”. The trip took about three hours and we arrived at five o’clock in the morning to Masada, we took the short route of the ascent. We were tired but it was amazing to see the sunrise of the desert landscape from Masada. At eight in the morning when we finished we went down by cable car. We had breakfast and went on a jeep tour in the area which was really fun. From there we went to Nahal Ein Bokek.

Nahal Ein Bokek

When we arrived at Nahal Ein Bokek we changed our sports shoes to water shoes. We entered the stream and made its short course. The view was beautiful and the nature was amazing.

                The shepherds’ farm

We arrived in the morning at the shepherds’ farm located in Kiryat Gat. The trip to shepherds’ farm was also on behalf of “Mekom Belav”. This place is a farm where you do activities with horse riding, there are other animals and other activities.

When we arrived we had breakfast. We were divided into three groups. One group made pita bread. A second group did horseback riding and a third group (which is the group I was in) got to know the horse.

The activity in our group was information and training about the horses and working with them. After the training, we got used to the horse being led through an obstacle course.

When we finished we took turns and each group went on to the next activity. Our next activity was making pita bread in Tabun, the pita bread was delicious and then we went horseback riding. When they put me on the horse I was very scared, I got a little excited and asked for an escort. The ride was fun and enjoyable but what I didn’t like was the fact that I was last. When I got off the horse I had a sense of accomplishment that I had met a challenge that really scared me.it was a great day.
