Malaysian cuisine’s influences include Chinese, Indian and Malay.

In some ways, it’s similar to Indonesian food, with the two nations sharing many of the same dishes.

Malaysia is famous for being a country rich in biodiversity.

4. Festivals

Malaysia is famous for its colorful festivals. With so many races and cultures, comes a multitude of celebrations, mostly religious, that fill the calendar from January to December.

Major festivals like Chinese New Year, Independence Day, Deepavali, and Christmas are widely celebrated. Other festivals

Dragon Boat Festival, Mooncake Festival, and other harvest festivals.

5. Malaysian Batik

Perhaps the most popular handicraft and type of fabric in Malaysia is Malaysian batik.

Batik fabric is used for clothing, pillowcases, table runners and tablecloths, placemats, sarongs, scarves, or as tapestries.
