Picture number 2

In picture number 2 you can see a person trying to help another person going through a challenging climb. You will understand the unclear meaning of this picture if you look at it from a different perspective. The unclear meaning of this picture shows that “getting to the top” is not always actually getting to the top, sometimes it can be helping someone else get there, especially a person who might need it.

Picture number 3

In picture number 3 we can see a man enjoying himself. Perhaps from something he did or something that happened to him. Unlike picture two when we saw how you can be fulfilled by helping, in this picture we can see how you can also achieve self-fulfillment by helping yourself. So, the man got his fulfillment feeling by helping himself.

In conclusion, with pictures 3 and 2 we can see the 2 major ways to make your day a worthwhile day or in other words. A day that counts.

Picture number 4

In picture 4 we see a man sitting alone and crying. We believe that he is crying after an awful day. Maybe during the day he hadn’t helped anyone “You’ve cheered no heart, by yea or nay” and now he is feeling that he lost that day and he could have used to do better things yet he chose to let it go to waste. The second part of the poem is talking about a ‘lost day” so when we see the man crying because he feels like he lost a whole day of his life while others didn’t.

Picture number 5

The poem “count that day lost” is talking about the two ways a day can pass: the first is to use it correctly and the second is to let it go to waste.

“You’ve nothing done that you can trace” In the picture we see a man and we can say undoubtedly that he is sad.  I believe the man had been reviewing his day and he is sad because he realized he lost that day. Now he is thinking about everything he did that day yet he feels upset so he believes that lost the day

The quote

One glance most kind That fell like sunshine where it went

This quote is one side of the explanations we wrote here.

The clear side is the positive side. How helping someone helps you make your day more worthwhile. But on the opposite side, we can see how not helping someone or doing an unselfish act makes your day a wasted day that could’ve been way more efficient and self-rewarding.
