A drill sarms can only take on one opponent at a time, and if he’s immune to your damage, you lose.
This is part of my ongoing tactical evolution series featuring not only new strategies for existing units but ideas for new units that might not otherwise have a purpose.

Classic Sarms Stats
The SSM5 SSM5 Sarms are best described as tank killers. The slow startup time is not a huge hindrance, but the 300 point price tag is. The only way to make these better in a non-tank role is if they were cheaper. But realistically, you’ll only ever be able to field six. These tanks are even worse in a heavy mortar role.
A Sarms’ real strength is their exceptional anti-infantry capabilities. It is almost exclusively the tanks that will challenge you, and given the high-maneuverability of tanks, it isn’t until you roll a double figure one on a rifle team or mortar that you’ll have to worry about stopping these beasts from moving.
It would be fair to say the best attack is going to be an anti-tank or guided missile attack. This won’t often be at all good against the sarms, and will usually only stop them from taking out weaker enemies. Also, the anti-infantry weapons aren’t that effective against the tank as you can’t throw too many rounds to combat the missile. But the gun goes through three rounds in a single second. You’re already trying to have a unit capable of firing multiple rounds in a quick arc.
