Stanza 1:
Picture 1:
In the picture we can see two things, the first one is the beautiful sunset in the background. it’s a sign that it’s the end of the day, the sun is about to sag, most people have finished their day. The second thing is a windmill which looks like a movie camera. We believe it looks like the camera is presenting the day that has finished, or the end of it. We think that this photo is showing the ‘review’ of the day, what happened during the day, like a documentary movie.
“One glance most kind that fell like sunshine where it went”
This quote is about something that you do during your day that has made a person feel better. It connects to the photo because the photo is about replaying back your day, and it’s like the sunset in the background is all the sunshine moments you had that day, all the good you have done for you and for others.

Stanza 1:
Picture 2:
In the picture we can see a father that protects his kid from arrows. We think that the arrows are imaginary, they symbolize the father’s concern for his child. In addition, the picture illustrates the father’s selflessness and the desire for the child to be protected.
“And, counting, find One self-denying deed, one word”
This quote is about doing an act of kindness, a selfless act for someone else. Its connect to the photo because the photo is about sacrificing yourself for someone else, it could be your kid, your friend, or a random guy that you help on the street. In our opinion the quote is about putting yourself on the side and looking around, pay attention maybe someone is looking for help.

Stanza 2:
picture 1:
In the picture we can see a person who isn’t happy. She is wandering, thinking and looks upset. You can notice that she is still in bed, even though it is starting to get dark outside. When you get in bed you usually replay the day that has ended and think about actions that have been done. The woman in the photo looks like she hasn’t left her bed all day, or either she regrets this day. She looks a bit lonely, like she hasn’t talked to anyone all day.
“Then count that day as worse than lost”
The quote is about wasting a day, in the poem the meaning is that if you aren’t doing anything to make someone else feel good that day, you can consider this day as wasted. The quote is connected to this picture because we think that in this picture, the woman is sad since she hasn’t done anything that day to make herself happy. We don’t think that a day is lost if you’re not making another person happy, it will be lost if you’re not making yourself happy.

Stanza 2:
picture 2:
In the picture we can see a character stepping on other people to get what he wants. It can be understood from this picture that the character is selfish and does not consider other people. The character is willing to hurt other people to get what he wants.
“No act most small That helped some soul and nothing cost”
This quotation talks about not treating other people nicely and kindly. The quote reveals to us that as soon as we simply act in selfish actions, our days are wasted and have no purpose because we have not improved the daily life of anybody except ourselves. The quote connected to the picture since this person would do nothing for anyone other than himself.
