Keller was rushed to the hospital and after a day of surgeries he managed to survive but with the truth being put out Anne and George went against Joe in court, but Joe knowing the damage he made did not put up a fight, And told the judge that he should get the death penalty and Steve should be freed. Anne and Chris broke apart after Anne knew she couldn’t live with him for sort of knowing what his father did. Anne moved with her father and tried to heal their connection.

The Keller’s could not live in the same town with the shame of the truth being out So Chris and Kate moved far away.

Chris started a company to help soldiers who have lost close one’s in the war, He bought a house and eventually married and lived to an old age with his wife helping soldier’s. Kate lived alone but could not live happily knowing Larry killed himself because of Joe and died shortly after.
