Ann decides to show the Keller family Larry’s letter. Joe confessed to his actions after Ann revealed Larry’s letter, he felt guilty. Chris is angry with Joe his dad but forgives him because he really respects his dad and sees that he takes all the responsibility. Joe apologizes to the whole family and says that if he could he would have prevented it from the beginning because family is the most important thing in his life. Joe then suggests that they take him to a police station because he feels very guilty and wants the appropriate punishment Kate is crying and doesn’t want him to go, Chris with all the sorrow and respect for his dad thinks it’s really the right thing to do. Joe turns himself in to the police, Kate lets Chris live with Ann.

Chris and Ann live with Kate at home, Kate is sad that Joe went to prison but knows it’s for the best, Ann is happy that Kate let Chris marry her and live a happy life,Finally they get married and move away from home.
