| In the American Zone of Germany, 2 sisters Krystia and Maria are inside a barrack then many other refugees come in including a Hitler girl named Sophia. |
| Soviet trucks pull up and they start identifying everyone, then Sophia falsely accuses the 2 sisters of being nazi collaborators who are hiding under the bed. |
|
The truck starts moving
and they start looking for ways to escape but eventually, they arrived at the soviet one.

The soviets walked them down into a fortified mansion, in which the soviets called them criminals. |
|
They all got shoved down into a basement then Sophie and Maria started having an intense argument which stopped when they finally got to eat. |
| They apologize to each other and start discussing their past life without knowing they’re probably being recorded, Sophie gets taken away by an interrogator named Galina. |
| Krystia gets taken away into a jail cell in a basement with Sophie and accidentally uses her real name giving them evidence for her to be interrogated. |
|
Maria and Finn (another boy) get taken upstairs to peel some potatoes but while doing so, they eat bits of potato peels and sip some water. |
|
It was now Krystia’s turn to be interrogated, she got tied up to a chair then Galina comes in with a huge black dog ready, however, Krystia didn’t reveal anything important. |
| Galina goes back and grabs Maria and puts her in a warm room interrogating her since she believes Maria was helping the Nazis when really she was just trying to help out a friend. |
| Galina was now getting everyone to sign fake confessions, but Krystia refused, causing the Soviets to stage a fake execution on Maria pressuring it to be signed. |
| She was now furious, everything she tried didn’t work on Krystia, meanwhile, Maria got released and told to report to the town hall. |
| Maria takes a bath, makes new clothes and is reunited with Fin in a hideout introduced by Brigit. |
| Galina once again comes down to get her to sign the false confession by offering her COOKIES, she obviously declines after which Galina proceeds to shove Krsytia back in her cell slamming the door and accidentally leaving it unlocked. |
| The plan is to feed the interrogators and security guards fruit pyrohy that has sleeping powder added in it so they started scavenging berries and cooking it up. |
| Krystia cautiously came out of the cell and hugged Sophie and Mychailo (another boy in the basement) then started planning to gag and tie up the next interrogator that comes in. |
| Galina appeared and said Mychailo was coming with them for a shower which meant execution so they quickly burst out and tied Galina then gagged her with socks. |
| Maria and Brigit were at the house and then fed everyone except Galina the drugs but one of the Soviets ate 2 more than their allotted share. |
| The guy who ate 6 sleeping powder-filled pyrohy called Galina up but wasn’t responding so he came down but quickly somersaulted down the stairs asleep. |
| Brigit and Maria stalled them by having a conversation, waiting for them to fall asleep and when they did they looted the desks and went downstairs. |
| Mychailo was waiting by the door and unknowingly grabbed Maria but stopped when Krystia told him, they all reunited and went upstairs to escape. |
| Back in the hideout, they had one final feast of all the food before everyone planned a route to escape back to the west. |
The next day Maria and Krsytia also set off to the west, bribing the officer to let them through the soviet border using ration cards.
| They were now at the American border, finally re-entering the American zone after all of this. |
