The Twins

Once upon a time there were two brothers who were identical twins who lived in London.
The first one is Tristan who was considered the successful brother in the family. Everybody loved him and it was clear that he was the favorite kid.
The second brother is Justin. Justin is considered as the failure of the family.
Since they both were young they were very competitive and everyone around them always compared them including their parents. This made the competition between them even worse.

September’s 1th, 2009
Today was the twins first day of high school. They both were very excited and nervous. Tristan was still the favorite child and the pride of the family. All of this made Justin angry and made him hate his brother. The first day was good for Tristan, he met and made a lot of friends and already was considered as the “popular kid”.
On the other hand, Justin had quite a rough day. He had a fight with one of the students and got suspended, leading to his parents being disappointed in him.

Throughout high school it was the same.
Tristan was the popular kid that everyone loved and the smart kid.
Justin continued to be the disruptive student with the bad grades and behavior problems that barely was known and most of the time was alone.
They both still were competitive and compared to each other which made them both hate each other even more.
Since they both graduated high school they haven’t spoken to each other. The last time they met and talked to each other was in 2012.

After they graduated Tristan went to the U.S to start his company there. He already had a very successful career as a software engineer and made a lot of money. He married a beautiful woman named Grace who was a lawyer and they had their first son Adam.
Adams mother died when he was 2 so he can’t really remember her.
Justin stayed in London.
He left his parents house and rented an old apartment and lived there. At first it was good, he used to work in a supermarket as a cashier and had a normal life. But then he started drinking and gambling all of his money or spending it on drugs. He had a girlfriend who left him because he was an alcoholic and after she left his condition got even worse. He connected with the wrong people and somehow he ended up in a mafia doing illegal stuff.
Each one of them had their own life and they haven’t kept in touch.
Even after Graces death Justin didn’t showed up for the funeral.

March 17th, 2021
One day, their father James, suddenly passed away so they had to reunited after 9 years for the funeral.
By this time Justin was in a real mess for dealing illegal drugs and being associated with the Mafia. Justin was wanted criminal by the police and no one knew about it. He hid the truth and behaved like he is all good and he isn’t in any trouble. They both stayed at their parents house for 2 weeks.
During those days Justin knew he was about to get arrested and he had to find a way to escape London but he didn’t have the money to afford it.

One day while the twins were staying at their parents house, Justin sneaked into his brothers room took his passport, his clothes his money and booked himself a flight to Spain.
He made sure to look just like his brother so he cut his hair, shaved, dressed like him, and started to act like him.
Justin flew away that same night and didn’t tell anybody.
His family all found out in the morning when a whole police unit including soldiers and special forces took over the house and arrested everybody.
The detectives were sure that Tristan was Justin because there was no way to tell them apart. They arrested Tristan for committing murder, drug dealing, and a lot of other crimes that Justin had committed.
Meanwhile Justin was already on a plane to Spain to start a new life there.

Tristan tried to tell the cops that he isn’t a criminal but they didn’t believe him because they are identical twins.
Justin knew that the cops were after him and it was just a matter of time until they found him, so he planned a whole escape plan and just waited for the perfect time to take a revenge on his brother for all his childhood. So he set a trap for his brother and blamed all his actions and crimes on him.
After a long trial that Tristan tried to prove that he is innocent no one believed him and he was sentenced for 17 years in jail while Justin started a new life in Spain and became a successful businessman.
After 12 years that Tristan was in jail, Justin went back to London but this time as a rich man with his wife and two kids .
