Nouhad Wadie’ Haddad known as Fairuz (1935-) is a Lebanese singer and is considered one of the most famous and iconic vocalists in the Arab world. She started her career as a chorus member at the national radio station in Lebanon in the late 1940s and released her first hit, “Itab”, in 1952. Fairuz gained popularity throughout the Arab world in the 1950s and 1960s and performed in various Arab capitals, including Damascus, Amman, Cairo, Rabat, Algiers, and Tunis. She is known as “the soul of Lebanon” and is considered a musical icon in the country. we’re going to discuss the fame, life and songs of fairuz.
