In the picture we chose, we can see two people- a boy and a girl. The boy gives the girl a flower and they both smile at each other. We assume that the boy likes the girl for a while and he wants to do a nice and special deed for her and by that to make her day much more meaningful and lovely. We think that the deed which has been done by the boy really worked and made the girl joyful. In addition, we can see in the picture that the boy is standing still, however the girl is running to the boy, to take the flower he brings to her. In our opinion they make each other’s day all better than it was before this deed.

In the picture we chose, we can see a little boy helping an old lady cross the road safely. They both smile at each other and it seems that they are very happy. We think that it’s very important to help people when you can, especially if they’re old and need help, because everyone deserves to be loved and to get the help they need. In addition, we think that if you’re doing a positive deed, it will also make a great difference in your mood and not only in the people you have helped. Furthermore, we believe that this tiny act made the old lady’s day much better.
Quote for stanza 1:
The quote we chose is “One self-denying deed”. We chose this quote because in the two pictures we chose for stanza 1 we can see a positive act which has been made by someone. From both of the pictures we can assume that this deed made the people in the picture’s day a lot better and a lot more meaningful and that’s how a self denying deed is supposed to feel like.

In the picture we chose, we can see a lonely boy sitting alone on a bench at sunset. We can clearly see that it wasn’t the greatest day for this boy. We assume that this boy has gone through a hard and exhausting day, therefore he sits alone at the end of his day and looks frustrated and hopeless after all he went through. In our point of view, he looks back at his day or maybe even period of time and feels disappointed about it and powerless to finish this day. Moreover, we think that no one should feel so terrible by the end of their day, and if they do, we think they need to talk to someone who they feel comfortable with and definitely not be alone.

In the picture we chose, we can see 3 girls at school ( we assume).
2 girls are laughing at the other girl who is crying and hiding because of them.
In our opinion, the girl who is crying just wants to go away from there and finish this day. In addition, we think that the other 2 girls don’t really understand how they destroyed this day, week and maybe the month for the girl they laugh at. We think that they think at this moment that it’s funny to laugh and hurt this girl, but they aren’t aware of what this girl could feel as a result of what they do, and worse than that, what she may do to herself. It seems to us that the one girl is feeling very hurt, embarrassed and disappointed that this is how her day went because of these two girls.
Quote for stanza 2:
The quote we chose is “count that day as worse than lost”. We chose this quote because in the two pictures we chose for stanza 2 we can see two people who are very disappointed and frustrated by something or someone. It seems like they just want to finish that day so they can start a new day with a new mood. The pictures are connected to the quote because both of the people look like they went through a rough day and they are counting that day as “the worst”.
