In the picture that I chose you can see a happy family smiling and also laughing at each other while taking a walk in a field when it is almost sunset. In my opinion this family in the picture is happy because they made each other happy. Clearly they are enjoying this moment of peace and happiness with each other while holding hands. I believe that this memory they have of their walk in the field is bringing them joy and happiness every time they think of it. Overall, if you love your family, wouldn’t you want to make them happy?

In this picture that I chose, you can see, what I can assume, is a young woman helping an older woman who is a stranger for her, to walk on the street. It seems to me that the older woman was struggling to walk, or perhaps she fell and the younger woman noticed that and came to help her. Just by doing that deed for the older woman, I assume that the young lady felt proud of herself for helping the old woman. And on the other hand, I feel that the old lady was happy that someone came to help her.

“One glance most kind, that fell like sunshine where it went”

This quote connects to the two pictures I chose because the quote is describing a person who is smiling to someone else and just by smiling to the other person, it gives the other person a warm feeling which perhaps made their day better. In the two pictures that I chose, you can see the people in them as they are smiling at each other. I can assume that they made each other happy and positive. So that’s why I chose this quote from the poem.

In this picture, you can see a young boy sitting by himself all alone. I assume that he’s crying or that he is covering his face because he feels ashamed that he is all alone. I also think that this boy is getting bullied at school because that explains why he is sitting alone with his backpack in the hall, on the school break instead of playing with the kids that’s running to the exit in the picture. Any of those kids that probably saw this young boy sitting alone didn’t think of coming up to him to ask if he was feeling ok. That must’ve ruined this poor boy’s day and made it a wasted day for him

In this picture that I chose, you can see a young woman sitting alone by the beach. I can assume that this young woman is very lonely, because just think to yourself, why would she sit by the beach all by herself and not with her friends, or her family? I think that perhaps this girl is sad because she is all alone and doesn’t have someone to talk to, nor to laugh with. It seems to me that this young woman had her days wasted because of that.

“You’ve nothing done that you can trace that brought the sunshine to one face” This quote is describing that if you can’t think of anything positive that you’ve done for someone else that made their day worthwhile, then consider your day as a wasted day. In my opinion the day is wasted on both sides because at the end of the day, when you think about what you could have done, but you didn’t do it, even when doing a small deed that does not cost you any money then your day is wasted. And there’s the other side, where you can see someone is lonely but you choose to ignore it rather than make their day better, that is what makes the other person’s day a wasted one.
